In 1927 construction began on the Low Level Road at the base of the Third Street hill. Road crews are seen “paving the way” on boards to ensure they didn’t fall into the cement.
The grain elevators were built the following year in 1928, while Neptune Terminals emerged in 1967. The Spirit Trail overpass opened in 2015 connecting Moodyville with Heywood Street.
You may have gone along either of these roads to get to Park & Tilford or to and from the Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Crossing. How often do you take in the scene while on the road?
