The North Shore Restorative Justice Society held its annual fall fundraising gala on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Polygon Gallery, situated on the waterfront in North Vancouver’s Shipyards District. Officers from North Vancouver RCMP and West Vancouver Police Department, along with local government officials and North Shore school district representatives, were on hand to help raise funds for the society. The evening kicked off with a cocktail reception in the downstairs gallery space before moving upstairs to the main gallery for dinner, a live auction and music. The society promotes an approach to crime and conflict by coming up with alternative processes that offer dialogue, reparation and healing to victims of crime, offenders and the community at large.
