The outdoor skating rink that’s been the centrepiece of the City of North Vancouver’s Shipyard Commons for the past few months is set to close for the season come March 1.
The 12,000-square-foot rink is billed as the largest skate plaza in the region, with capacity for 300 skaters and rentals available on-site.
Although the inaugural season of the new skating rink also featured its temporary closure due to last month’s extreme weather, the city has touted it as a welcome addition to its waterfront.
We asked some mid-week skaters how they were enjoying the experience.
