Update: Vehicles and delays were cleared on Highway 1 between Mountain Highway and Lynn Valley Road just after 11:30 a.m. Sunday, according to DriveBC. A few vehicles are still on the side of the road, but are not affecting traffic.

It was a slippery or delayed ride if you were heading to North Vancouver Sunday morning.
Multiple cars and a large commercial vehicle spun out from the snow on the Trans-Canada Highway between Mountain Highway and Lynn Valley Road exits heading westbound Sunday morning, DriveBC said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. Drivers should expect delays in both directions.
At 9:23 a.m. Sunday, DriveBC posted online saying multiple vehicles and one commercial vehicle spun out.
Crews are working to clear travel lanes and assist drivers. They noted many were not properly equipped for the conditions, including a commercial vehicle not chained up.
DriveBC says drivers should watch for vehicles blocking travel lanes and shoulders when driving and if you're on the road, make sure you have winter tires.
