UPDATE: The man reported missing has been found and is in stable condition, according to the RCMP.
North Vancouver RCMP are asking for the public’s help in the search for senior reported missing.
John McCandless, 75, was last seen early Thursday afternoon near his home on Old Dolalrton Road.
McCandless does not have a vehicle or a cell phone. Police and family are concerned about his well-being and need the general public’s help finding him. McCandless requires daily medication.
He is described as white, six feet tall, weighing 240 pounds with white, short hair and a full white beard. He was last seen wearing a blue hoodie.
Anyone with information about McCandless’ whereabouts is asked to call North Vancouver RCMP.
UPDATE: As of 2:30 p.m. Friday, North Vancouver RCMP have called in North Shore Rescue for an urban search.
Update on missing 75 year-old. North Shore Rescue has been activated to conduct an urban search of the missing. Area concentrated will be from the Ron Andrews Rec Centre - Lytton St and out. Residents in the area are asked to check backyards and outbuildings. Thank you!
