Lions Gate Bridge has reopened following a police incident Sept. 5.

Lions Gate Bridge is now reopen following a closure due to a police incident Thursday morning.

The West Vancouver Police Department sent out the notification on X about the closure just before 7 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5, advising drivers to "expect significant delays" and to use Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Crossing instead of Lions Gate Bridge. An update at 8:16 a.m. indicated that the bridge had reopened in both directions.
