The Vancouver Chopin Society launches their 20th anniversary season with two special concerts on Oct. 14 at the Vancouver Playhouse featuring Polish musician Maria Pomianowska and her band examining the folk roots of Chopin’s music. The ensemble will be joined by some of Vancouver’s world-class world music instrumentalists including West Vancouver duo Amir Eslami and Maryam Soroushnasab.
