The Foot of Lonsdale plaza on the City of North Vancouver waterfront is ready for action just in time for the first Shipyards Night Market tonight at Shipbuilders' Square.
Richardson International Vancouver senior director Phil Hulina and Mayor Darrell Mussatto cut the ribbon to open the plaza Friday. A water feature with bubblers, rippling water and natural boulders - a great place for summertime splashing - is one of the standout elements of the plaza, which is located right next to the new Polygon Gallery. When dry, the water feature transitions into a gathering area for small events. The city received a $400,000 donation from Richardson towards the construction of the new plaza.
