If you’re a glutton for punishment and a sucker for a good cause, there’s still time to register in-person for Seek the Peak this Sunday. The event is a 13-kilometre, 1,400-metre climb that will test your fitness and stamina as participants trudge from Ambleside Park to the top of Grouse Mountain (the Peak of Vancouver) with proceeds earmarked to support B.C. Cancer Foundation’s lifesaving work against breast cancer. Online registration is now closed, but those still looking to sign up can do so in-person by visiting Grouse Mountain guest services today between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. or tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The 20th annual British Columbia Family Fishing Weekend starts today, with families all across the province encouraged to head to an event to learn from expert volunteers, borrow fishing tackle and try fishing for themselves.
