Some mornings you wake up and smell the coffee...and others you do just that and then some.
A Sunday morning cup of joe turned into the moment Vancouver retiree Jonathan Head learned he'd won $75,000 playing the BC/49 lotto, according to the BCLC.
“I was checking the draws on the computer, while I was enjoying a coffee, when I saw two of the numbers I had chosen [were drawn],” said Head.
In fact, Head - who bought his ticket at the News Room in Kerrisdale and chose his own numbers - matched five of six numbers, plus the bonus number, in the June 5, 2021 draw.
While $75,000 can buy a lot of coffee beans, Head's head doesn't seem to be in the clouds; the winner says he plans to “save and spend wisely."
