The Francophone Chamber of Commerce of Vancouver has appointed a new president.

Marie-Maude Groulx succeeds Azool Jaffer-Jeraj, who led the CCF since 2020, according to a Tuesday announcement.

Founded in 1983, the CCF is a non-profit organization that represents and supports francophone business owners across Metro Vancouver.

“With the current challenges and uncertainties at the U.S. border, there is an urgent need for Canadian businesses to forge strategic alliances within our own country, including French-speaking markets such as Québec and international markets such as the European Union,” Groulx, who previously served as president and CEO of Pacifique Québec Inc., said in an email.

The CCF also announced a new strategic plan is in the works, with the primary goal being enhancing visibility and growth of francophone commerce.
