St. Paul’s Foundation just launched their spring 50/50 raffle and one lucky winner will take home half the jackpot. The other half will go directly towards supporting patients and residents with compassionate care across B.C.
Each ticket is so much more than a chance to win
Thanks to you, seniors in long-term care homes have iPads to keep in touch with their families and friends; to tune into religious services; and, poignantly, attend online memorials for loved ones who have passed.
And, there are also viewing platforms outside residents’ windows.
The raised patios outside each window allows residents to safely see their loved ones – a true sign of compassion and care for those most vulnerable during social-distancing times.
These are just some of the ways Providence Health Care has pivoted early in the pandemic to support seniors and residents.
Your raffle ticket purchase will go towards more initiatives to support seniors’ ongoing need for connection.
Your ticket proceeds will also support mental health initiatives like the ones offered by the Provincial Eating Disorders Program at St. Paul’s Hospital.
Registered dietitians Ali Eberhardt and Hannah Robinson host a regular podcast called “Let Us Eat Cake” and a daily Instagram Live called “Snack Time and Chill.”
For those tuning in, the broadcast is more than just a hilarious half-hour of snacking and chatting; it’s a lifeline that reaches out across the province to provide meal support, coping strategies, and the healing power of connection.
More tickets equals more compassion plus more chances to win
