MONTREAL — Provincial police are investigating the murder of a man in his 20s in Quebec's Eastern Townships.
The man's body was discovered Saturday evening in Sherbrooke by a local resident.
Authorities confirmed Sunday morning the case is a homicide, and the investigation is ongoing in collaboration with Sherbrooke police.
A spokesman for the department says officers were called at about 6:45 p.m. to a building in the southwest part of the city to help an unconscious man.
Provincial police say the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators and forensic experts completed their analysis of the scene Sunday morning.
