Air Canada CEO Michael Rousseau elected chairperson of Star Alliance CEO board

MONTREAL — The chief executive of Air Canada has been elected as the new chairperson of the Star Alliance chief executive board. Michael Rousseau succeeds United Airlines chief executive Scott Kirby, who has held the title since December 2020.

MONTREAL — The chief executive of Air Canada has been elected as the new chairperson of the Star Alliance chief executive board.

Michael Rousseau succeeds United Airlines chief executive Scott Kirby, who has held the title since December 2020.

The Star Alliance airline network was established in 1997.

It consists of 25 global member airlines.

Each of the member airlines is represented by its CEO on the board.

Rousseau was appointed president and chief executive of Air Canada in February 2021.
