Dear Editor:
I live in the Upper Lonsdale area and find getting anywhere in North Vancouver in a timely fashion next to impossible. Not long ago, there were major disruptions at 15th and St. George's, and at 15th and 17th at Lonsdale. To get home I needed to detour with many other drivers way out of my way to avoid these construction zones.
Could some of the work be done in the evening when traffic is lighter or, as a previous letter writer suggested, be staggered to minimize inconvenience?
Perhaps city hall should give the affected locals a break on our property taxes during these construction inconveniences. After all, don't our taxes entitle us to, amongst other services, the use of our roads?
