Seeing a different kind of light

Open letter to a cyclist: I saw you! Boy, did I ever see you! I saw you on the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 16 at about 6: 45 p.m. as you were headed north on the Ironworker's Memorial Second Narrows Crossing.

Open letter to a cyclist:

I saw you! Boy, did I ever see you!

I saw you on the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 16 at about 6: 45 p.m. as you were headed north on the Ironworker's Memorial Second Narrows Crossing. You were about halfway across, in the cycle lane. I saw you just as I was also heading north over the same bridge. You were as lit up like an emergency vehicle and, boy, I sure saw you. A flashing bike light, a flashing helmet light and lots of cool and groovy reflective stripping on your outfit.

I saw you - and I thank you for being so intelligent, so considerate and so safe on that dark, wet night.
