Dear Editor:
I think it's rather nice to have some (smartmeter) Luddites around to remind us where we were and how far we've come.
As I move into my 80s, I enjoy a remote to open my car door, a remote to open my garage door, a remote for my CD player, four remotes for my two TV sets and I'm about to get hearing aids which come with a remote for volume control, a remote to connect my cellphone directly to my hearing aids for handsfree driving and a remote to connect my TV set directly to my hearing aid.
In my retirement years, I also think it would be fun to see the effect of playing with various electrical usages in my home.
