Re: North Vancouver District approves controversial supportive housing

Dear Editor:

Sincere thanks to mayor and council of the District of North Van for approving supportive housing.

As a resident of the city and district for 70 years, I am so grateful this decision has been made.

My son lost his life in May 2023 to an overdose, homeless on Hastings Street. The start to any recovery is a roof over your head.

As a volunteer at the Hope Centre, housing was always a major concern.

I applaud this decision and wish for more housing availability.
