Re: LGH Foundation Reaches $100-Million Fundraising Goal, Jan. 23 news story.
As a longtime volunteer with the hospital foundation, let me say how disappointed I am with the coverage the North Shore News has given the phenomenally successful campaign run by the foundation to raise more than $100 million for a new hospital. This was done in less than two years with the contributions of more than 6,000 donors. Surely it deserved mention before page 26 of the Wednesday, Jan. 23 issue.
In your stead, may I congratulate [Lions Gate Hospital Foundation president and CEO] Judy Savage, her committee, the volunteers and, most especially, the donors who made this possible.
