Dear Editor:
I don't agree with what Arlene S. King said in her July 3 letter, Brighten Up Chemo Department, about the chemotherapy department at Lions Gate Hospital.
Far from being a "lab rat" as she feels, the chairs are comfortable recliners where you can have a nap while the transfusion runs, and the installations are kept in good condition. Add to all of this the excellent professional service we get by the nice, dedicated nurses, the good work by volunteer ladies, the fruit juices, cookies, tea and coffee you get, the warm blankets to keep you relaxed, and you will realize that to feel depressed is impossible. You feel grateful!
To have this chemotherapy department is a real privilege. If today I can write this letter it is because of the good treatment I receive there.
