City's Shipyard Sal enchants Salmon-Armers

My husband and I were recently visiting the Lower Mainland, and instead of rushing to the Horseshoe Bay or Langdale ferry, we decided to explore North Vancouver. We really enjoyed the Lonsdale Quay and there picked up a copy of North Shore News.

My husband and I were recently visiting the Lower Mainland, and instead of rushing to the Horseshoe Bay or Langdale ferry, we decided to explore North Vancouver.

We really enjoyed the Lonsdale Quay and there picked up a copy of North Shore News. In it we saw an article about the shipyards, and took the 1: 30 p.m. tour.

We learned a lot about the history of Canadian ships built during the Second World War and the enormous role played by female shipyard workers. The stroll around the yard was very enjoyable, and from "Shipyard Sal" we received a walking tour map that included the North Vancouver museum, which we subsequently visited.

It was very quaint. Along with our hike through Lynn Canyon, we fell in love with North Vancouver and will definitely be back.
