What are your priorities if elected? Keep North Vancouver moving by reducing traffic congestion, improving housing affordability, connecting communities and improving engagement between residents and our local government.
How would you address the district’s transportation needs? I support expanding our transportation ecosystem.
This includes:
Improving public transit including dedicated lane for B-lines
Advocating for rapid transit service across bridges
Improving safety for pedestrian and cyclists to schools/amenities
Introducing park and ride options by transit hubs
Expanding car/bike-sharing, ride-hailing and ride-sharing services
Are you open to amalgamating with the City of North Vancouver? Yes, but in the short term, DNV, CNV & DWV need to coordinate transportation & land use planning decisions to reduce congestion & improve affordability.
Do you support the planned Maplewood Innovation District? Yes, this provides much needed rental housing (600+ units) for people who work in North Vancouver and opportunities for entrepreneurship & social connectedness.
