What are your priorities if elected? Improve transportation mobility and accessibility, opportunity for young adults and families to find and keep homes and jobs in North Vancouver, citizen engagement, outdoor recreation.
How would you address the district’s transportation needs? Provide real choice between transportation modes. More opportunities for citizens to leave the second car at home more often. Dedicated lanes and queue jumpers for buses. Negotiate more car-sharing. Pilot electric bike-sharing. Build protected and connected bike network. Prioritize safety of vulnerable road users, children, seniors, safe routes to school.
Are you open to amalgamating with the City of North Vancouver? Yes, after completing an open and transparent study of the costs and benefits. The study must prove mutual benefits for District and City residents.
Do you support the planned Maplewood Innovation District? The proposal offers desperately needed rental homes without displacement, high-paying jobs, space for existing businesses to stay and grow. It should go to public hearing.
