Do you live in the district? Yes, since 2002.
Municipal committee and/or civic group experience:
I have exhibited my bronze and ceramic sculptures and taught painting courses offered at the community center. West Vancouver United Church, computerized presentation services.
Is the present council effectively managing growth in the municipality?
Largely unsuccessfully. Housing prices. Traffic problems are growing in the extreme. Since 1962, until now, nine lanes of traffic from West Vancouver to Vancouver. Our community populations have grown very significantly. Nothing changed, part of this abrogation of responsibility is due to lack of effective action by West Vancouver.
Should West Vancouver take steps to curb vacant homes, housing speculation and/or foreign ownership and if so, how?
We should recognize this problem came about because of our own mistakes in urban planning. We need a community plan with teeth.
What is your vision for the Ambleside waterfront?
We should use the Ambleside waterfront redevelopment to create an artistic and architectural wonder that in itself will draw people to our beautiful community. I envision an architecturally significant development such as a concert hall or art gallery focusing on the incredible arts and designs of our First Nations people.
What are your priorities if elected?
- Housing.
- Livable traffic conditions.
- Prevent losing our residents.
- Develop our brilliant artists, writers, sculptors.
- Create revenue.
