Do you live in the district? Yes
For how long have you lived in the district? Lifelong Resident
Non-incumbents: List municipal committee and/or civic group experience: DNV Council 2005-2014; NSEMO, NVRC, NVDPL, NVMA, Metro Parks & Environment, Greater Vancouver Labour Relations Bureau, Advisory Committee on Disability Issues, Port Cities Committee, OperationRedNose.
What are your priorities if elected? Building too much, too fast, slow down and let infrastructure catch up to growth. The housing we are building is not the housing we need.
How would you address the district’s transportation needs? Advocating for better transit including improvements to Phibb's exchange (washrooms, emergency phones, weather protection, lighting), and Express Buses to and from Skytrain. Upgrading certain four way stops to signals to reduce congestion and improve safety. Work with RCMP to review all high crash locations to reduce injury and congestion.
Are you open to amalgamating with the City of North Vancouver? Yes. Financial savings will be modest, but joint planning will reduce waste. District and Province are widening Keith while the City is narrowing it. Waste.
Do you support the planned Maplewood Innovation District? Not in its current form. I met the developer, heard their proposal, recommended they come back with modest phased proposal. Wildlife corridors must be respected.
