Is the city managing growth appropriately? No. $237 million for a sports facility and some residential units in a city of 54,000 people is ridiculous. Whoever made that deal should not be allowed to make any more deals. Ok'ing a condo development 30 days before an election while the city cries for affordable housing is shameful.
Are you open to amalgamating with the District of North Vancouver? No. There are many more important issues to be dealing with. We need to focus our conversations and energy around them. Collaborate, don't amalgamate.
Should the city facilitate affordable housing and if so, how? Yes. One step in the right direction would be to impose a high minimum numbers of mandatory affordable housing units in each new residential development.
