Age: 47
Occupation: Sales/Marketing
List any political party membership(s): None
Do you live in the district? Yes
For how long have you lived in the district? 41 Years
Non-incumbents: List municipal committee and/or civic group experience: I have volunteered on the District Parks Committee for the last 3 ½ years; I also volunteer with NVFC, NSGSA, and NVMHA.
What are your priorities if elected? Affordable housing, especially for seniors and single parents. Continued improvement of District fiscal responsibility. Open and responsive government. Protect our open spaces and Parks system.
How would you address the district’s transportation needs? We still need more frequent buses and more direct routes between destinations. We need to work within the collaborative model created with other levels of government as they can help fund solutions. Upgrade effective bike routes; road and trail. Use our waterways more effectively; have more points of departure.
Are you open to amalgamating with the City of North Vancouver? I am in favour of amalgamation with City. The reasons for separate municipalities have long disappeared, and we already share many services and planning.
Do you support the planned Maplewood Innovation District? The concept of the project is interesting (work and live in the same place), but I have some concerns regarding the magnitude of the project.
