Is the present council effectively managing growth in the municipality? I don't think it's fair for me to judge the out-going Council's performance. I'm sure, they did their work, to the best of their ability. We need to look forward in regard to the challenges that the community faces, managing growth being one of them.
Should West Vancouver take steps to curb vacant homes, housing speculation and/or foreign ownership and if so, how? West Vancouver might consider adopting a building policy that would address these concerns.
What is your vision for the Ambleside waterfront? Any future changes to the waterfront would include removal of the remaining private residences so that the land can be returned back to its original state. Possibly the canteen in Ambleside Park, property that the City owns, could use a renovation as well as the Silk Purse building.
What are your priorities if elected? Protecting property owners, providing basic services in a cost-efficient manner, building more diverse housing, preserving our environment, regulating land use.
