Do you live in the district? Yes
For how long have you lived in the district? 33 years
Non-incumbents: List municipal committee and/or civic group experience: Longtime community volunteer, organizer of North Shore Triathlon, volunteer with North Shore Neighbourhood House and supporter of North Shore Rescue.
What are your priorities if elected? Working on traffic congestion, shifting focus of new building to include more rentals, creating more housing options for seniors and child care options for families.
How would you address the district’s transportation needs? We need to support the recommendations of INSTPP and continue to advocate for solutions, as a unified voice with our neighbouring municipalities. I would like to see carshare programs like Evo/car2Go in the District and would work with developers to include car share spots in new developments, where appropriate.
Are you open to amalgamating with the City of North Vancouver? I support amalgamation - but in the immediate term - we should be sharing information between the municipalities and collaborating in a more organized manner.
Do you support the planned Maplewood Innovation District? It's the right type of development for the District - providing much needed rental housing and commercial space - but more public engagement is needed.
