What is the single biggest challenge facing the school district and how will you achieve a solution? Keeping taxes down and not selling land that is owned by the school district. Working with the municipal councils to ensure that property is secured for school development and not sold for profit.
What are your thoughts on the province’s new curriculum? The introduction of the core competencies and development of life long learners through inquiry and big concepts provides an educational framework to support all learners.
Why do we need a school board when so much is dictated by the province? To ensure the province has a clear picture of the support and development that is needed for our schools, teachers and students in our district.
