Is the present council effectively managing growth in the municipality? Considering I am one of the many WV residents that HAD to leave the community after living here for over 50 years due to a lack of diversified housing options, no! In the 2016 census, we stood out as the only north shore community that lost residents!
Should West Vancouver take steps to curb vacant homes, housing speculation and/or foreign ownership and if so, how? Implementing an empty home tax and ensuring properties that fall into disarray are penalized is how we can ensure our neighbourhoods stay just that, neighbourhoods.
What is your vision for the Ambleside waterfront? Ambleside should be a gathering place for our youth, seniors and residents. We need restaurants, activities, arts and culture, and a thriving business district but to get there we need the revitalization to continue without losing the seaside neighbourhood character we have grown to love.
What are your priorities if elected? We all want value for our hard earned money. I plan to ensure that every property tax dollar you pay is spent wisely and efficiently.
