Rookie Jet Raymond took flight for the North Van Wolf Pack over the weekend, scoring five points as the Pacific Junior Hockey League squad picked up one win and one overtime loss.
On Friday night the North Shore Winter Club alum scored his first PJHL and added an assist to earn the game’s second star as the Wolf Pack fell 4-3 in overtime on the road against the first place team in the league’s Harold Brittain Conference, the Abbotsford Pilots.
One night later Raymond was at it again, earning star honours after scoring a goal and adding two assists in a 6-0 home victory over the Surrey Knights. Kyle Hoover, Mitch Ledyard, Justin Lee, Shea Robertson and Alex Brewster all also scored in the win, with goaltender Alex Forester earning the shutout.
The Pack now sit second in the Tom Shaw Conference with six wins, two losses and two overtime losses, trailing the Delta Ice Hawks who are a perfect 9-0 so far this season.
The Wolf Pack travel to Mission Oct. 13 before returning home to host the Richmond Sockeyes at Harry Jerome Arena Saturday, Oct. 14, starting at 7 p.m.
