Bagpipers provided a fitting entrance for the host Argyle Pipers as they hosted the West Vancouver Highlanders in the first senior boys football game played on Argyle Secondary’s new turf field Friday.
The two teams then proceeded to play a game fitting the occasion, with West Van coming away with a narrow 14-13 win.
Argyle Secondary was without a playing field for more than five years. The new field has lines painted on it to accommodate football, soccer, field hockey and rugby games.
