Four Handsworth tacklers gang up on W.J. Mouat's Slater McRae in a AAA playoff game played Friday at Windsor secondary. The Hawks ran all over the Royals to score a 50-22 win and book a spot in the provincial semifinals.

One North Shore team ran wild while another was run over in provincial football quarterfinals last weekend.

The Carson Graham Eagles followed the lead of star running back A.J. Blackwell who rushed for 225 yards and four touchdowns in 23 carries in a 35-7 win over the Vernon Panthers Friday in Kamloops. The Eagles handed the Panthers their first loss of the season while improving their own record to 11-1. They'll take on South Delta in AA semifinal action this Saturday starting at noon at UBC.

On the AAA side Handsworth's strong season was brought to a screeching halt by W.J. Mouat superstar Maleek Irons who rushed for 243 yards and four touchdowns in 17 carries as the Hawks blasted the Royals 50-22 in horrible weather conditions Friday afternoon at Windsor secondary.
