IF you've recently had your backpack or purse go missing in the dead of night, West Vancouver police may have some good news for you.
Officers stopped a green Honda Pilot in the early morning of Jan. 4 on the 1400-block of Chippendale Road in West Vancouver. The vehicle had been reported stolen and the suspect was already facing a driving prohibition. After arresting the driver, police searched the SUV and found two backpacks and a grey purse stashed in the vehicle, which are also believed to be stolen.
The items were likely taken from the 1300-block of Terrace Avenue in North Vancouver sometime that night, according to a WVPD press release.
