Some North Vancouver residents might want to fact check their voter information card, as it could have an incorrect polling station address on it.

Elections Canada said in a statement Wednesday that some cards have an incorrect address for election day on them due to a "printer error," affecting about 5,900 electors.

Voters can cast ballots on election day (April 28) at 113 Third Street East, said James Hale, B.C. media representative for Elections Canada. The original address on the voter card was 113 Third Street West.

“We will have workers stationed throughout voting day to ensure electors get to the right place,” Hale said.

New voter information cards won’t be re-issued as there is a possibility they wouldn’t arrive to the elector on time, he said.

Voters can search for their advance and election day polling stations by typing in their postal code on the Elections Canada website or phoning the number on their information card.

Advance voting takes place from April 18 to April 21 between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., while voting on  Election Day, April 28, takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at assigned polling stations.

Residents can also apply to vote by mail no later than April 22 at 6 p.m.
