The Celebration of Light returned with a bang over English Bay this weekend.
Team Macedos Pirotecnia from Portugal launched the 2024 edition of the annual fireworks festival with a colourful and explosive performance. Prior to the show Red Bull's aerial acrobats entertained the crowds.
People all around Vancouver were able to watch the light show from UBC to North Vancouver, and many shared the experience on social media.
"There were no significant public safety incidents during last night’s fireworks. It was a safe, fun, and family friendly evening, and we’re anticipating the same on Wednesday," states the VPD in an email to V.I.A.
