Now may be time to invest in a bigger umbrella as Vancouver appears to be in for a very wet weekend.
V.I.A.'s Weatherhood is predicting nearly 50 mm of rain to accumulate by Saturday night, Feb. 22, and more than 30 mm by Sunday.
Areas set to experience the heavy showers will be in the downtown core, Granville Island and Kitsilano.
The same conditions are expected for Vancouver's western and eastern neighbourhoods like Jericho, Mount Pleasant, Trout Lake and Strathcona.
However, Hastings-Sunrise may see a little more rain tomorrow than other communities as Weatherhood forecasts more than 55 mm will fall.
Neighbourhoods like UBC, False Creek, Dunbar and River District may get their fair share of rain, but in the amount of nearly 40 mm on Saturday and 25 mm by Sunday.
Winds will vary by location, but residents by the water will get caught in west or northwest gusts up to 15 km/h.
Temperatures in Vancouver will hover around 10 C for the daily high and overnight low. Communities to the east and south parts of the city may reach as high as 12 C at day's peak.
Currently, Weatherhood has downtown as the warmest Vancouver community at 9 C, Strathcona the coldest at 5 C, Stanley Park the wettest at 27 mm of rainfall, and Southlands the windiest at 15.5 km/h.
