Vancouver weather: This week's forecast includes sunshine and sizzling 30 C high

Will the region see another heat advisory issued this week?

The Vancouver seven-day weather forecast includes some sizzling temperatures this week.

V.I.A.'s Trout Lake Weatherhood station in Vancouver shows a daytime high of 24 C and a low of 16 C with bright sunshine on Monday, July 15 (see slide two). This daytime high isn't far from the seasonal average (21.8) based on Environment Canada's historical data. However, Tuesday's daytime high is expected to reach 27 C, dropping to 17 C overnight.

Wednesday's forecast includes more heat, with the daytime high expected to reach 30 C, dropping to 18 C overnight.

Temperatures in Vancouver weather forecast could meet heat warning criteria

To meet Environment Canada's heat warning criteria, the daytime high must reach 29 C and the low 16 C but must also continue. For now, the forecast includes a shift to cooler conditions on Thursday.

Thursday and Friday's forecasts include highs of 25 C and lows of 17 C.

The weekend forecast includes more warm weather, with Saturday's forecast calling for a high of 28 C in the city.
