The annual event is back, but without the fireworks.
Vancouver Fraser Port Authority announced May 19 that the Canada Day event at Canada Place, now renamed "Canada Together," is returning for an in-person celebration this year.
However, the authority decided to cancel this year's evening fireworks because of rising costs for safety and security.
The outdoor event will take place at Jack Poole Plaza, Canada Place and surrounding streets stretching across five blocks with plenty of festivities, food and performances.
There will be three zones that feature exhibits and displays on cultures around the world, family-friendly activities and interactive displays on Canada's Army, Navy and Air Force.
All zones and exhibits open at 11 a.m. and are welcome to all ages.
