A man and a woman, both in their 30s, are facing charges following an RCMP bust of a drug lab in a North Vancouver neighbourhood in April 2020.

Two people are now facing charges following an RCMP bust of a clandestine drug lab in Parkgate last year.

On April 2, 2020, first responders were called to a home on the 4000 block of Brockton Crescent where someone was requesting medical assistance.

North Vancouver RCMP arrived before paramedics did. They confirmed someone was indeed in a medical emergency but they also saw telltale signs of a drug lab at the site.

The RCMP’s clandestine lab team came back with warrants and cleared out a “large number of exhibits,” police said at the time.

After getting lab results confirming what the substances were, police sought charges for two individuals.

Sarah Ganja, 38, and Gordon Patrick Nelson 37, are now charged with production of anabolic steroids, possession of anabolic steroids for the purpose of trafficking, and obstructing an officer, court documents show. Nelson has an additional charge of possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

They are due back in North Vancouver provincial court in June.
