IF you have ever wondered if all the letters are inside a can of alphabet soup, then you may have a kindred spirit with Ursus Wehrli.

The Swiss-born comedian has a very different outlook and desire for order.

With the help of photographers Geri Born and Daniel Spehr, Wehrli presents us with his vision of how to make the physical world more organized.

Twenty-two subjects are shown as before and after views on facing pages of the book.

A bowl of alphabet soup is now joined by a new version of itself, this time with all of the letters lined up in neat alphabetical rows.

A Christmas tree is deconstructed all the way down to its needles and branches, while a crowded parking lot is reorganized according to colour of vehicle.

In each one Wehrli takes the common and turns it into the uncommon, often with very entertaining results.

This is an ideal book for that particularly A-type person you know.
