THE RCMP are hoping the public can help them find a valuable heirloom ring, likely stolen from a North Vancouver home.

The ring was last seen in October last year. Police do not know when it was stolen,

"The culprit in possession of the ring may not even be aware of its true value," said Cpl. Richard De Jong, spokesman for the North Vancouver RCMP. "The ring has been in the victim's family for generations, with the owner making an emotional plea for the public's help in finding her ring."

The heirloom ring is described as a 1920s gold Kenworthy Ltd. Ashton Manchester diamond ring.

It is valued at approximately $50,000. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311. -
