Remixing Life to Live West Coast Style

Making a bold bid to achieve the highest standards in ultimate urban living is Remix by award-winning homebuilder Adera.

Remix is set to be a contemporary collection of 60 urban apartment homes atop a vibrant social hub in North Vancouver, with a unique blend of retail shops and public outdoor space. But not only will Remix score high on walkability (check it out at walkscore.com) - great schools, parks and major shops are all within a five minute walking radius and the seabus to downtown is a ten minute stroll - it's Adera's passion for and attention to the concept of west coast living that will ultimately set Remix apart.

With that in mind, some of the suites, explained Adera's Eric Andreasen, will be live/ work homes with an "at-home office." And all of the penthouse homes will be graced by a rooftop "west coast lanai" - a private rooftop terrace with stunning views for your open-air lounge, BBQ patio and hot tub.

"The at-home office allows people to work from home, separating business space from their living space, so to achieve that work/life balance," said Andreasen.

"The unique thing about this place is the combination of retail space and residential living that makes for a very interesting high urban lifestyle."

"The west coast lanai is one of our signature items. People choose to live on the West Coast because of the geography, the climate, and a social melting pot making it the most cosmopolitan crowd in the country."

Adera recognizes that people who live here have a strong connection with the outdoors and the west coast lanai offers the "connection to nature from the privacy of their own homes, not unlike the same idea in Hawaii," said Andreasen.

From the beginning, the vision for this project was to bring a modern version of a real community, like a village, to Remix. That includes a retail aspect, where amenities like a coffee shop, a charcuterie and a chocolate shop might add to the vibe of the community. "We want it to be a place where people can meet, socialize and grab a coffee and they're good to go," added Andreasen. With so much to offer, it's little wonder that, without more than a "family and friends" evening, Adera has 12 homes already spoken for. With shovels being sharpened for a November construction start date, the balance of the 60 homes will be offered to the public.

Expect a grand opening sometime in November, said Andreasen. Make sure you register for VIP updates and advance notifi cations at Adera.com.

Homes range from one to two plus den, and will start below $300,000.
