Capilano University is hosting an on-campus COVID-19 vaccination clinic Friday (Feb. 18) to help any stragglers get on the right side of the best public health advice.
The pop-up clinic takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Birch Building,Room 126, at 2055 Purcell Way in North Vancouver.
“Capilano University is pleased to support students, employees and community members on the North Shore in getting vaccinated against COVID-19. Having a vaccine clinic on the main campus makes the step of getting fully vaccinated easier for people who are part of, or living near, our campus community,” said Linda Munro, senior communications officer at Capilano University.
Anyone who needs a first or second dose is welcome at the CapU clinic on a walk-in basis. People seeking boosters will need an appointment, though, which can be booked via the province’s vaccine website.
As of Feb. 11, 90.4 per cent of British Columbians over the age of 12 had had both doses of vaccine. Between Jan. 27 and Feb. 9, unvaccinated people were admitted to hospital at a rate five times higher than those who were vaccinated.
