Premier Christy Clark was on hand at a ceremony on Friday, June 17, to mark the 58th anniversary of the 1958 collapse of the Second Narrows bridge while it was still under construction. Nineteen workers were killed in the tragedy.

Premier Christy Clark was on hand at a ceremony on Friday, June 17, to mark the 58th anniversary of the 1958 collapse of the Second Narrows bridge while it was still under construction. Nineteen workers were killed in the tragedy. The bridge was later renamed the Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Crossing.

Gary Poirier, a survivor of the collapse, was also in attendance.
