Excitement was in the air and on the screen at the second annual Coast Mountain Film Festival hosted by the North Shore News Feb. 7-9.
More than 1,000 movie buffs filled North Vancouver’s Centennial Theatre through five showings over the weekend to catch locally made films while also catching swag tossed out by the festival’s head organizer, North Shore News publisher Matt Blair.
Outdoor adventure was a common theme throughout the weekend, with skiers, snowboarders, surfers and endurance runners taking centre stage. Environmental films as well as a set of local shorts brought comedy and drama to the festival as well.
