The District of North Vancouver is aiming to have the new Spirit Trail crossing over Lynn Creek open to the public by the end of the week.
The bridge, which connects Seylynn Park to Bridgman Park, has been under construction since last summer.
Pending final inspections, the four-metre-wide, 52-metre-long span should be open to creek-crossers by the end of the week, according to the district.
The connection was approved by council in 2017. The budget for the project is roughly $5 million with grants from TransLink covering about half of the cost.
The district has also paved the paths that connect to the bridge on the west side of Lynn Creek, making it suitable for those who walk or roll.
