Two big pieces of the $200-million Lower Lynn Interchange Project are about to make their debut.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure says the new Mountain Highway westbound on- and eastbound off-ramp connecting the Cut will open on Saturday morning.

Those wanting to test out the new onramp, though, will only have the option of getting on the highway if they are coming south down Mountain Highway, the ministry is warning. Northbound traffic over the new overpass won’t have the infrastructure needed to make the left-turn onto the new onramp until December.

“The new ramps will provide North Shore residents with better connectivity to and from Highway 1, and better distribute traffic among the three Lower Lynn interchanges,” a release from the ministry stated Friday morning.
