Paving work along Mountain Highway between East 14th Street and East 18th Street is now underway and is expected to take four weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Detours and parking restrictions will be in place during the project. One southbound lane on Mountain Highway will be maintained throughout the paving project, with single lane alternating traffic patterns required at times.

Northbound traffic will be diverted along Arborlynn Drive and East 20th Street. The District of North Vancouver is advising drivers to be cautious of increased traffic in the area and to allow extra time to reach their destination.

The final step of the paving process will likely take two nights to complete. The district is requesting that drivers avoid this area if possible during this final phase to help ensure a high-quality finished product.
